Why Tankah and Why Casa del Perro Feliz? We have been visiting this general area since the mid 1980's. Our first visit to Tankah together was in 1987, prior to the Tankah road and any development on the bay. We had permission to pass thru on the old coconut road to visit the cenote. In 1999, after visiting the general area every winter we decided it was time to take the plunge and buy some land with hopes of eventually having our own place in Paradise. We found Tankah to have what we were looking for - a quiet area with astounding natural beauty, yet close to so many conveniences, attractions, places to visit and explore. Tankah has all of those qualities. The quiet, natural beauty, the bird watching, and our beautiful ocean view are all what we were searching for. After working on the land and learning about it, we designed the house, and had it built in 2003 and have been enjoying it ever since! We love the great snorkeling and kayaking that we can do right in front of our own house. The name? We are animal lovers, and usually drive from Iowa to Tankah so we can take our dogs with us - they absolutely love it and it is the highlight of their year and ours, in addition, we have our Perro Feliz house dogs who found a place where they can live year round in the lap of luxury! We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to have a property in Tankah, and are all Happy Dogs thus the name - Casa del Perro Feliz! We invite you to share our home and experience the magic and relaxation of Tankah and Casa del Perro Feliz for your next vacation. Ann & Chuck Irvine Jr.
